1. Controller
The controller is Vortica Digital, Lda., operator of the QuickJobin brand, with registered office at Rua D. João V, 24, Espaço Amoreiras - Leap Center, 1250-091 Lisbon, Portugal, and tax number 514465670. Privacy contact: email@quickjobin.com.
2. Scope
This policy applies to the website, mobile application, customer support, moderation, communications and other interactions with QuickJobin. It does not govern the independent processing carried out by workers and employers after contact details are exchanged.
3. Data we process
- Account and identity: name, email, telephone, date of birth, photograph, user type and protected credentials.
- Professional profile: biography, categories, skills, availability, location or search area and work history.
- Business profile: name, category, email, telephone, commercial identification and responsible contact.
- Listings and applications: listing content, photographs, proposed pay, location, hours, requirements, application status and decisions.
- Trust and safety: reviews, reports, restrictions, moderation records and support communications.
- Technical data: IP address, device, operating system, app version, technical identifiers, logs, crashes and security information.
- Location: approximate location or selected area. Precise location will only be processed where a feature requires it and appropriate device permission is granted.
4. Purposes and legal bases
- Contract: create and manage accounts, display listings, process applications, make professional contact details available in the context of an application or invitation, show reviews and provide support.
- Legitimate interests: prevent fraud, protect users, moderate content, secure the service, improve reliability and defend legal rights, following an appropriate balancing assessment.
- Consent: optional features, precise location, electronic marketing and non-essential technologies where applicable. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
- Legal obligation: respond to authorities, retain required records and comply with regulatory, tax, accounting or security duties.
5. Visibility
Professional information selected for a profile may be shown to employers. When a worker applies or agrees to receive a proposal, the relevant employer may view the contact and profile details needed to assess and manage that interaction. Date of birth is used to verify the minimum age; employers are shown the calculated age. Users should not add information they do not wish to share in this context.
6. Providers and recipients
Data may be processed by hosting, database, email or SMS delivery, storage, security, support, error-monitoring and development providers under appropriate contracts and instructions. Data may also be disclosed to authorities, courts, advisers or other parties where required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety.
7. International transfers
Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, QuickJobin will use a recognised mechanism such as an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses and appropriate supplementary safeguards.
8. Retention and account deletion
- When deletion is requested, the account is deactivated immediately and access tokens, push-notification tokens and associated sign-in credentials are revoked.
- Personal account data is deleted or anonymised within 30 days, except where retention is required by law, fraud prevention, legal claims or report handling.
- During that period the user may explicitly cancel the request; signing in alone does not cancel it.
- Listings, applications, moderation and security records are only retained for the period necessary for their purpose and applicable legal periods.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR, individuals may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and may withdraw consent. Where applicable, they may also challenge solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
10. Exercising rights
Send requests to email@quickjobin.com, describing the right requested and providing enough information to verify identity without excessive collection. QuickJobin will normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions.
11. Complaints
Individuals may lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority, Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.
12. Security
QuickJobin uses technical and organisational measures proportionate to risk, including access controls, credential protection, backups, security logging, system updates and incident-response procedures. No system is completely immune from risk.
13. Minimum age
The platform only accepts workers aged 18 or over. Date of birth is required and registration cannot be completed when the stated age is lower; the worker may correct the date before continuing. Suspected misuse may be reviewed for platform safety.
14. Automated decisions
The current version does not envisage solely automated decisions with significant legal effects. Ranking, filtering or risk-detection tools may be used with appropriate review and safeguards.
15. Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect legal, technical or functional changes. Material changes will be communicated appropriately.
